Jessup in Lake Bluff, IL seeks an Equipment Technician - Manufacturing for 2nd shift to perform troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance on production machines. The role includes supporting facilities maintenance, recording maintenance actions, and traveling to the McHenry location when required.

Requirements include a high school diploma, 3–5 years in manufacturing, and strong mechanical and problem-solving skills with tool proficiency.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
Proficient with basic hand tools, shop equipment, electrical multimeters, and amp probes.

Responsibilities

Maintains and repairs production machinery and equipment to maximize run time.
Perform preventive maintenance per standard schedule to keep equipment at peak efficiency.
Record actions in maintenance logs promptly for traceability.
Recommend improvements to preventive maintenance procedures.
Run parts or supplies errands 1–3 times per month.
Assist Facilities Engineer in coordinating subcontractor work.
Keep area clean, organized, and stocked with needed parts.
Provide off-hour coverage on a call basis.
Travel to McHenry, IL facility as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
