Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking an Entry-Level Maintenance Technician to help keep manufacturing equipment and facility systems operating safely and efficiently.

You will work alongside experienced maintenance and operations colleagues while developing hands-on technical skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ensuring equipment reliability and minimal production interruptions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical, vocational, or trade school coursework in industrial maintenance, mechanical systems, electrical systems, mechatronics, or related field preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance, inspections, adjustments, and basic repairs on manufacturing and facility equipment.
• Assist experienced technicians with troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and other equipment-related issues.
• Respond to equipment issues and work with production colleagues to identify problems and restore equipment to normal operation.
• Complete assigned work orders and accurately document maintenance activities in accordance with site procedures.
• Perform basic equipment cleaning, lubrication, parts replacement, and other scheduled maintenance activities.
• Use common hand tools, power tools, and basic diagnostic equipment safely and appropriately.
• Identify equipment abnormalities, safety concerns, and opportunities for improvement and communicate them to the appropriate team members.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following site safety, quality, and cGMP requirements.
• Participate in training and development opportunities to build technical knowledge and maintenance troubleshooting skills.
• Support additional maintenance and facility activities as assigned.
