Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific in Cincinnati seeks a Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring optimal performance of critical manufacturing equipment and adherence to GMP standards.

You will collaborate with Production, Engineering and Quality teams to maximize uptime, drive continuous improvement, and uphold safety and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced pharmaceutical/biotech environment.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree with 3 years of experience or bachelor's with 5 years in industrial maintenance.
• 2+ years in a supervisory role.
• Preferred fields: Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering.
• Professional certifications in maintenance, electrical systems, or HVAC beneficial.
• Experience in GMP manufacturing environment.

As a Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance Supervisor at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will coordinate a skilled team of maintenance technicians in ensuring optimal performance of critical manufacturing equipment. You will promote excellence in preventive and corrective maintenance while maintaining strict compliance with regulatory requirements. Working closely with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams, you'll contribute to maximizing equipment uptime, improving operational efficiency, and maintaining high manufacturing standards. How will you get here?

• Advanced Degree plus 3 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, with 2+ years in a supervisory role

• Preferred Fields of Study: Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering

• Professional certifications in maintenance, electrical systems, or HVAC beneficial

• Experience in GMP manufacturing environment, preferably in pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automation systems

• Expertise in preventive maintenance programs and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)

• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance manuals

• Proficiency in safety protocols including LOTO, confined space entry, and arc flash prevention

• Experience with TPM, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies

• Effective leadership skills with ability to coach, develop, and support team members

• Proficiency in project management and scheduling maintenance activities

• Demonstrated experience in regulatory compliance and documentation

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Clear written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays as required

• Experience managing contractors and vendors

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and maintenance management software
