Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific in Illinois is seeking a Second Shift Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, read schematics, and support GMP-compliant operations.

Qualifications

2+ years' experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
5+ years of industrial maintenance preferred.
Experience in a cGMP environment preferred.
Familiarity with pharmaceutical packaging equipment (fillers, labeling, etc.).
Ability to read and follow directions.

Responsibilities

Performs preventative maintenance per published schedule. Performs corrective maintenance as needed in a timely fashion. Documents within GMP systems that all required tasks have been completed.
Assist Engineers in carrying out engineering evaluations / troubleshooting.
Oversees inventory on all spare parts and equipment consumables.
Diagnose and resolve issues with motors, sensors, control systems, and related components.
Follow OSHA standards and lockout/tagout procedures to ensure safe maintenance practices
Setup production equipment. Train operators on the use of production equipment.
Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation
Ability to coordinate repairs and spare part purchases with vendors.
Other duties as assigned.
