Job summary

Red Oak Technologies in San Francisco, CA, is seeking an on-site Manufacturing Engineer - Equipment Development contract to prepare process and tooling readiness for high-volume production and collaborate with design engineers for manufacturability.

You should have 5–10 years in electronics manufacturing equipment development, experience with high-precision tooling, SOLIDWORKS, and equipment project management; travel internationally is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field (Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics).
  • 5–10 years’ experience in electronics manufacturing equipment development.
  • Experience in developing high‑precision equipment and automation tools.
  • Experience in tooling and equipment design using SOLIDWORKS.
  • Experience in equipment project management.
  • Experience in smart maintenance systems.
  • Experience in Micro‑Electronic Manufacturing, Optical Assembly, Tester development and automation development (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Develop equipment to support new product development.
  • Work with tooling vendor to develop equipment for high‑volume manufacturing.
  • Improve equipment efficiency for high-volume sustainability.

Position Overview

On site contract Manufacturing Engineer - Equipment Development

Hourly Rate: $55.00-75.00 depending on experience

Responsible for preparing process and tooling readiness for high‑volume production, supporting process design, tooling development and validation, improving process capability and throughput, collaborating with design engineers for manufacturability, resolving technical issues, and performing failure analysis to seek optimal production solutions.

  • Improve equipment efficiency for high‑volume sustainability.
  • International travel required.
