Job description

Manufacturing Engineer

Be part of a team that applies its expertise and knowledge to develop, implement and maintain methods and processes in the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, sub‑assemblies and final assemblies. Using your technical expertise, you will estimate manufacturing cost, determine time standards and make recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines.

You will add value and expertise to the business by sustaining support by identifying cost reduction and yield improvement opportunities.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • Prior internship or professional experience in a regulated (ISO, AS, FDA) manufacturing environment
  • Electro‑mechanical experience ideal, LabVIEW experience ideal
  • 3D Modeling experience is required.
  • Experience with continuous process improvement projects
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to demonstrate influencing skills to accomplish goals and objectives
Scope
  • Maintain all quality goals and regulations through trials of new products, while striving to cut scrap rate and increase efficiency of operations
  • Carry out process improvement, problem resolution, project management and employee training as related to manufacturing processes
  • Maintain Work Instructions, BOM’s, preventative maintenance schedules, and routers and perform training as required
  • Improve manufacturing processes and methods for cost‑reduction, quality improvement and efficiency
  • Perform research, design, and development of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods and production equipment
  • Maintain plant layout and assist in developing layout as new equipment/processes are developed
  • Draft and execute validation & verification for tooling, equipment, and processes, including IQ/OQ/PQ organized activities

The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions.
