Wolfspeed is seeking an Equipment Engineer in Durham, NC to drive continuous improvement in our Global Materials operations. You will lead multiple projects from budgeting through installation, tracking yield, uptime and safety metrics, and coordinating cross-functional teams.

The role runs Monday–Friday, 7am–4pm, supporting a 24x7 materials operation. A BS in engineering and 2 years of manufacturing experience are required, with strong organizational and communication skills and proficiency in

Competenze

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
  • 2 years of experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably semiconductor.
  • Demonstrated organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both autonomously as well as part of a team, taking ownership of tasks and projects.
  • MS Office suite proficiency.

Mansioni

  • Manage capital expansion projects from budgeting to installation to production.
  • Own continuous improvement projects aimed at improving yield, throughput, uptime, and safety.
  • Run multiple projects concurrently with little supervision.
  • Own toolsets and be responsible for tracking and improving critical metrics for uptime.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, networking, computer, coding, PLC, vacuum, and toxic gas systems.

In this role you will drive continuous improvement in the Global Materials organization through the installation of equipment and design of modifications. You will own multiple projects at one time and be responsible for the management of the projects.
