Job summary

Advics is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, implement, and improve manufacturing equipment, tooling, fixtures, and systems. You will apply mechanical engineering principles to enhance reliability, safety, quality, and manufacturability while supporting new equipment installations and production operations.

The role requires creating CAD models and drawings, selecting components, and performing root-cause analysis to drive permanent improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or closely related field.
• Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, components, materials, tolerances and assemblies.
• Experience with 2D/3D CAD software and reading mechanical drawings.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
• Experience in project management and communication.

Responsibilities

• Design and modify manufacturing equipment, tooling, fixtures, and mechanical systems.
• Create and review CAD models, drawings, layouts, and specs.
• Select components, materials, tolerances, and mechanisms.
• Troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions.
• Lead capital equipment and mechanical improvement projects.
• Support new product launches with equipment requirements.
• Review supplier designs to meet requirements.
• Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Quality, Safety, and others.
