Job summary

Intuitive is seeking a Manufacturing Equipment Buyer/Planner to ensure uninterrupted production by planning, procuring, and lifecycle supporting of materials and spares for manufacturing line equipment. You will work closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Manufacturing, and Sourcing to translate technical needs into timely purchasing actions.

The role emphasizes direct materials buying, inventory risk management, and supplier governance to optimize uptime, cost, and reliability across facilities.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing procurement experience for line equipment, automation, tooling or capital assets.
• Spare parts lifecycle planning, criticality assessment and risk mitigation.
• Data-driven execution of requisition-to-PO processes.
• Ability to read equipment drawings, BOMs and specs for purchasing actions.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration with engineering, maintenance, finance, quality and sourcing.

Responsibilities

• Plan, buy and manage direct materials and spares for manufacturing equipment and automation.
• Define and maintain technical specs, drawings and acceptance criteria with engineering and maintenance.
• Own spare parts strategy, stocking levels and lifecycle planning.
• Support ECOs and deviations by assessing procurement impacts (cost, lead time, supplier scope).
• Lead sourcing events (RFI/RFQ/RFP) and evaluate total cost of ownership and long-term support.
