Job summary

Whirlpool Corporation is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician to support floor operations in a manufacturing setting. You will troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, interpret schematics, and collaborate with production teams to optimize processes and documentation.

The role emphasizes problem solving, technical guidance to maintenance staff, and developing standards such as SOPs and control plans, while supporting new equipment startups and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or higher in a technical field such as Industrial Maintenance or Automated Manufacturing Systems Technology.
• Ability to read and interpret complex electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical drawings/blueprints/schematics.
• Experience with industrial automation, including troubleshooting and basic programming/touch-ups of robotic systems (e.g., Fanuc, KUKA) and motion control.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets) and ERP systems such as SAP.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment using root cause analysis (RCA) and other methods.
• Interpret electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and drawings to diagnose issues.
• Create and update process documentation, including SOPs, PFMEAs, and control plans.
• Support start-up and integration of new processes and equipment; minimize downtime and ensure safe operations.
