Job summary

Narda-MITEQ in Hauppauge, NY is seeking a Specialist in Manufacturing Engineering to develop and optimize manufacturing processes for complex parts and assemblies. The role requires a Bachelor’s in a related field and 4+ years of experience, or a Graduate degree with 2+ years.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Material Science with 4+ years of related experience, or a Graduate Degree with 2+ years of related experience.
• Experience with lean manufacturing best practices, process documentation, and control methods.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop prototype and production manufacturing processes including equipment, tooling, and test fixtures.
• Support New Product Introduction including new equipment/process introductions and DFM activities.
• Create and maintain detailed manufacturing and process instructions, travelers and work instructions for new and existing parts/assemblies.
• Support production cell focused on thick film, thin film, substrate manufacturing, and electroplating.
• Evaluate new and existing processes to ensure quality and safety of the job.
• Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety, quality, delivery and cost.
