$68,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr

Akkodis is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Specialist for a Direct Hire position with a client in Walton, KY. You will be part of the Industrial IT and Automation group in Central Engineering for aviation and aerospace parts manufacturing.

Rate Range: $68,000/year to $75,000/year plus 8% bonus; the rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Relocation assistance is NOT available for this position.

Responsibilities include:
  • Leading support and training of operations and maintenance personnel to ensure thorough understanding of control systems operation and troubleshooting.
  • Assisting in the design and implementation of automation projects.
  • Modifying and updating industrial software applications.
  • Maintaining revision control of industrial software applications.
  • Updating and improving industrial software documentation.
  • Providing technical assistance to Operations/Maintenance.
  • Maintaining and revising functional analysis of automated processes.
  • Supporting continuous improvement of automation systems.
Desired Qualifications:
  • A 2-year degree is required for the Manufacturing Engineering Specialist position; a 4-year degree qualifies for the Automation Engineer role.
  • Five+ years of troubleshooting and coding experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
  • Experience with open and closed circuits.
  • Availability to work 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Monday through Friday, with possible on-call duties.
  • Experience with Siemens PLCs/HMIs/Drives, Allen-Bradley PLCs/HMIs/Drives, ABB Distributed Control Systems, ABB Robots, Fanuc Robots, Vision Systems, CNC Controls, Data Historians/Storage.
  • Willingness to travel 2-3 weeks per year for training, supplier visits, and other company activities.
