Job summary

Arthrex, located on the Santa Barbara, CA campus, seeks a Project Manager – Manufacturing Engineering to oversee programs through the Operations life cycle. The role emphasizes cost control, resource planning, and timely execution on new product launches and process improvements.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s in Engineering, 2 years PM experience, and familiarity with Lean Six Sigma and medical device processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• 2 years of project management or equivalent technical experience required.
• Experience in Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering required.
• Lean Six Sigma Training desired.
• Medical device manufacturing knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages projects/departmental objectives within the scope of the Operations Organization.
• Develops project objectives by reviewing project proposals and business plans, conferring with management and key stakeholders.
• Determines project schedule by studying project plans and specifications, estimates time requirements, identifying milestones and tasks.
• Maintains multiple project schedules by monitoring progress, coordinating activities and resolving risks or obstacles.
• Determines project responsibilities by identifying phases and allocating resources.
• Develop V&V / Production Readiness Objectives for assigned projects per Arthrex Quality System.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and coordinate parallel activities to meet completion dates.
• Monitor cross-functional resource capacity and hold regular status meetings.
• Communicate program status to management against metrics and constraints.
• Experience using project management software tools (Workfront) preferred.
