NOV Fluid Motion Solutions in Dayton, OH is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead the manufacturing engineering team, driving process improvements across machining, welding and assembly. The role focuses on achieving yield gains, cost reductions, capacity increases and capability advancements.

The candidate will manage capital projects, develop new processes, and apply Lean/Six Sigma tools to optimize efficiency and quality across the facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in an environment with process and manufacturing engineering related to machining.
• Excellent project management skills.
• Experience with equipment specification and purchase ranges from tooling to machining centers to capital equipment.
• Experience using 2D and 3D CAD systems and GD&T.
• Lean manufacturing accomplishments are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead Manufacturing Engineering team including CNC Programmers, Manufacturing Engineers, Process Engineers, and Quality Inspectors.
• Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes for yield, cost, capacity, and capabilities.
• Manage capital equipment plans and vendor relationships; write equipment/procurement specs.
• Apply Six Sigma, FMEA, root-cause analysis and other engineering tools for problem solving.
• Develop new processes using new technology, DFx and product lifecycle management.
• Support rapid prototyping and continuous improvement activities; optimize layouts and material flow.
