Job summary

General Motors in Warren, MI is seeking an Engineering Group Manager for GA Flawless Launch to lead a team of engineers through manufacturing project execution, from design to final production launch. You will coordinate with strategic suppliers, operations, quality, and supply chain to ensure projects meet schedule, budget, and quality standards.

This onsite role requires five days a week at the GM Global Technical Center with up to 50-75% travel.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
• 3+ years in a supervisory or management capacity.
• Proven track record delivering projects in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Agile and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers with guidance, training, and performance feedback.
• Develop and implement project plans, budgets, and timelines.
• Monitor progress, resolve roadblocks, and mitigate risks.
• Ensure adherence to engineering standards, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for successful product launches.
• Drive continuous improvement within Manufacturing Engineering and related areas.
• Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage budgets/forecasts and drive cost reduction initiatives.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and GA integration planning activities.
