Job summary

Form Energy is hiring a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead the pack assembly area and bridge design with high-volume production. The role focuses on building and mentoring a strong engineering team while steering procurement and commissioning of advanced manufacturing equipment.

The ideal candidate will master DFM/DFA and Lean principles, driving scalable production launches and optimizing complex assembly lines. We are excited to expand our Weirton facility in West Virginia.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
• 1–3 years of experience leading an engineering team.
• Experience in equipment procurement, setup and commissioning.
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing in high-volume production.
• Proven ability to manage full lifecycle of manufacturing projects.
• Excellent organizational skills and Jira proficiency.
• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the manufacturing engineering team for pack assembly areas.
• Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for battery module and pack assembly.
• Spearhead procurement, installation, and commissioning of manufacturing equipment with URS, FAT/SAT.
• Drive continuous improvement to boost production efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with design during development to ensure manufacturability (DFM/DFA).
• Lead technical discussions with internal design partners, suppliers, and integrators.
• Oversee all manufacturing engineering phases from design reviews to ramp-up.
• Mentor and develop a team of manufacturing engineers.
• Utilize Jira to track timelines, tasks, and deliverables.
