Job summary

Jobot is a privately held precision manufacturer serving the aerospace sector, seeking a senior Manufacturing Engineering leader to guide a team of engineers and technical staff on site. You will drive lean and Six Sigma improvements, optimize processes, and ensure readiness for new aerospace programs in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in aerospace, precision machining, or advanced manufacturing.
• 3+ years in leadership managing engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of manufacturing engineers and technical staff.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma.
• Develop and implement processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and boost throughput.
• Support NPI and production readiness activities.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Program Management.
• Analyze data and implement corrective actions to improve KPIs.
• Oversee documentation, routings, and manufacturing standards.
• Lead capital equipment and automation projects.
• Ensure compliance with aerospace quality requirements and regulatory standards.
• Support root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational improvement.

Job Details

Salary: $150,000 - $190,000 per year

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of manufacturing engineers and technical staff
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
• Develop and implement manufacturing processes that improve efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize throughput
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and production readiness activities
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Program Management
• Analyze production data and implement corrective actions to improve KPIs
• Oversee process documentation, work instructions, routings, and manufacturing standards
• Lead capital equipment and automation projects from concept through implementation
• Ensure compliance with aerospace quality requirements and regulatory standards
• Support root cause investigations and corrective action activities
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational improvement
• Champion a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

Needed (Required):

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or related field)
• Minimum 7+ years of manufacturing engineering experience within aerospace, precision machining, or advanced manufacturing
• Minimum 3+ years of leadership experience managing engineering teams
• Strong background in CNC machining, aerospace manufacturing processes, tooling, and process development
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and aerospace specifications
• Experience supporting AS9100 quality systems
• Proven project management and organizational ability
• U.S. Person status (ITAR requirement) — hard screen

Nice‑to‑Have (Preferred):

• Aerospace OEM or Tier 1 supplier experience
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
• Experience with automation and advanced manufacturing technologies
• ERP/MRP system experience
• NPI leadership experience
• Capital equipment implementation experience
