Job summary

360 Recruiter Accelerator is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead manufacturing engineering, maintenance, and facility activities at its Grand River, Ohio facility. You will drive reliable plant operations, maximize equipment uptime, and support established processes and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Manufacturing engineering, maintenance, or technical leadership experience in manufacturing.
  • Experience supporting automotive manufacturing or a Tier 1/Tier 2 supplier.
  • Previous responsibility for equipment reliability, preventative maintenance, and plant uptime.
  • Experience leading engineers, maintenance technicians, or other technical personnel.
  • Strong troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, and continuous improvement capabilities.
  • Working knowledge of automotive quality systems and standards.
  • Ability to balance hands‑on problem‑solving with team leadership and project management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent applicable experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead manufacturing engineering and maintenance personnel.
  • Ensure equipment, production processes, and facility infrastructure operate safely and efficiently.
  • Improve machine uptime, preventative maintenance performance, productivity, quality, and cost control.
  • Provide hands‑on technical support and troubleshooting when needed.
  • Identify equipment and process improvement opportunities.
  • Lead capital equipment, facility, automation, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Track engineering and maintenance metrics and implement corrective actions.
  • Support tubing, braiding, forming, oven‑curing, and cut‑to‑length manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, EHS, Supply Chain, and plant leadership.
  • Support root‑cause analysis and corrective‑action activities.
  • Maintain compliance with automotive quality standards, including IATF 16949.
  • Manage contractors, equipment vendors, and outside technical resources.
  • Provide occasional weekend support based on operational needs.

Seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead manufacturing engineering, maintenance, and facility-related activities at its Grand River, Ohio facility.

This individual will be responsible for maintaining reliable plant operations, maximizing equipment uptime, supporting established manufacturing processes, and driving continuous improvement. The position reports directly to the Plant Manager and offers visibility within the organization, strong leadership responsibility, and room for continued professional growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop manufacturing engineering and maintenance personnel.
  • Ensure equipment, production processes, and facility infrastructure operate safely and efficiently.
  • Improve machine uptime, preventative maintenance performance, productivity, quality, and cost control.
  • Provide hands‑on technical support and troubleshooting when needed.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Mechanical engineering background.
  • Experience with PLCs, automation, controls, or manufacturing equipment.
  • Familiarity with IATF 16949, 8D, PPAP, and other automotive quality tools.
  • Experience with SAP or another manufacturing ERP system.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar engineering software.
  • Capital project and contractor‑management experience.
