Job summary

TA Aerospace is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager in Valencia, CA to lead the manufacturing engineering organization. You will oversee processes, tooling, equipment, standards, and resources to meet operational objectives and drive productivity and cost improvements.

The role requires leadership, deep molding/process expertise, and experience with ERP/CAD tools, plus bilingual English/Spanish is preferred. Strong cross-functional collaboration and budget stewardship are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing engineering.
• 5–7 years of manufacturing engineering management experience.
• Aerospace experience preferred.
• Experience improving molding operations and molding-process performance.
• Experience specifying, qualifying, and implementing molds and molding equipment.
• Strong knowledge of process validation, Lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement.
• ERP systems, routings, BOMs, capacity planning, and cost estimating knowledge.
• Proficiency with MS Office and CAD; CATIA experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, project-management, and problem-solving skills.
• Union-environment experience and bilingual English/Spanish capability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the manufacturing engineering team; set priorities, plans, timelines, and expectations.
• Manage project portfolio; ensure schedule, budget, quality, and results.
• Upgrade molding department equipment, tooling, and processes.
• Develop in-house expertise in rubber/silicone mold design, prototyping, and validation.
• Build tooling room skills to move molds from concept to production release.
• Establish mold-design standards and tooling acceptance criteria.
• Optimize molding parameters to improve quality, yield, throughput, and cost.
• Interface with mold designers, toolmakers, suppliers, and automation vendors.
• Define vendor requirements, evaluate proposals, and manage performance/costs.
• Identify automation opportunities to improve productivity and capacity.
• Lead new-product introduction and molding-process development.
• Manage department resources, budgets, and capital expenditures.
• Establish metrics and drive reductions in scrap, downtime, and cycle time.
