Job summary

Fresenius Kabi USA, LLC in Melrose Park, IL seeks a Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor to lead a team on daily engineering issues and drive continuous improvement across manufacturing lines.

Responsibilities include overseeing upgrades to critical equipment and utilities, ensuring cGMP compliance, and coordinating with QA, Supply Chain, and R&D to transfer new products and technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field; five years of regulated plant manufacturing experience.
• Experience monitoring performance and troubleshooting mechanical and HMI equipment interfaces.
• Experience managing improvement projects and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment using industrial automation systems.
• Experience reading process and instrumentations drawings (P&IDs) and other drawings.
• Experience ensuring work adheres to regulated pharmaceutical standards (cGMP, FDA).
• Experience analytical troubleshooting and root cause analysis to ensure permanent solutions.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of Manufacturing Engineers on daily engineering issues and escalation on assigned lines.
• Provide ideas for continuous improvement to optimize processes, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
• Drive improvement projects including funding requests, installation, startup, and vendor coordination with cross-functional teams.
• Rebuild and upgrade site utilities and equipment across formulation, filling, lyophilization, packaging, and warehousing.
• Ensure equipment and systems are validated and compliant with cGMP, OSHA, ISO, and local regulations.
