Job summary

Lockheed Martin Corporation in Troy, Alabama, seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, and material handling. The role drives adoption of new technologies (automation, robotics, CAD/CAM) to improve efficiency, cost and quality.

You will analyze 3D model data, leverage factory data for statistical process control, and contribute to product design concepts to optimize

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a technical or relevant discipline and 3 years of manufacturing experience, or 2 years with a master’s degree.
Experience leading a team in manufacturing assembly, integration, and/or test operations.
U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain and retain a U.S. DoD Secret Clearance and pass ATF background check.
Experience with design, fabrication, installation, initial calibration, prove-out and maintenance of special tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement manufacturing processes and production layouts.
Drive adoption of automation and other technologies to improve efficiency, cost and quality.
Leverage factory data to support continuous improvement and SPC.
Collaborate with Quality Assurance, ESH & Ordnance Safety, Facilities Engineering and Government Customer Representatives.
