Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Marietta, GA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures, and layouts for assemblies and equipment installation. You will drive adoption of automation, robotics, and CAD/CAM software to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and raise quality.

You will build and analyze 3D model data to optimize processes and digital work instructions. You will leverage materials knowledge and process understanding to define operation procedures

Qualifications

• STEM bachelor’s degree or higher (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, etc.)
• Experience resolving engineering, production, tooling & or assembly issues.
• Aircraft structural assembly and technical requirements experience.
• Experience reading engineering blueprints.
• Experience working with low observability coatings applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation.
• Drive adoption of new technologies to improve efficiency, cost, quality.
• Create and analyze 3D model data to optimize processes and digital work instructions.
• Leverage factory data to develop SPC approaches and reporting for continuous improvement.
