Job summary

Control Devices, LLC in Saint Louis, MO, seeks a Mechanical Engineering Intern to support product engineering with CAD drawings, document control, and testing activities. You will assist manufacturing and quality teams with tooling, fixtures, and continuous improvement projects.

The Spring Co-Op runs January 2027 through August 2027 and requires pursuing a Mechanical Engineering degree with at least 30 credit hours, plus strong teamwork and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing Mechanical Engineering degree with at least 30 credit hours completed.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience contributing as an individual and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail when performing tasks.
• Sound problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Result oriented with a high commitment level.
• Develop and manage priorities to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Good oral and written communication skills.

Position Title: Mechanical Engineering Intern

Department: Engineering

Location: Fenton, MO

Reports To: Engineering Manager

Classification: Hourly - Non-Exempt

(Spring Co-Op is estimated to start January 2027 - August 2027)

Position Summary:

The Engineering Intern is primarily responsible for supporting the Product Engineering group with document control, CAD drawing, design work, production testing and other engineering related tasks. Additionally, the Intern will be supporting the Manufacturing Engineering group with CAD and design work, production tooling and fixtures, and production equipment testing. Intern will also assist the Quality Engineering group as needed to perform Root Cause Analysis, product and process improvements, and ongoing product reliability testing.

Essential Job Duties:

• Producing models, assemblies and drawings in SolidWorks.
• Managing controlled documents.
• Assisting with production testing.
• Support manufacturing engineering group as required with testing, designing, and developing new products, tooling, and equipment.
• Other engineering related tasks as assigned.

Required Education:
