Job summary

AAF International is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern to support production processes and drive continuous improvement in a dynamic factory setting in Fayetteville, AR. You will work closely with experienced engineers on projects to optimize efficiency, improve quality, and implement innovative solutions.

The internship offers hands-on experience, mentorship from seasoned professionals, and exposure to cutting-edge manufacturing practices.

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and creatively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

Support Production Processes: Analyze manufacturing processes and implement solutions to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
Data Analysis: Collect and analyze production metrics like throughput, cycle time, and yield to identify trends.
Quality Assurance: Work with QA teams to perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
Continuous Improvement: Participate in Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen events to drive optimization.
Equipment Maintenance: Assist in troubleshooting equipment issues and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain process docs and communicate findings to stakeholders.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Coordinate with production, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams.
