Job summary

AAF International is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern to support our Fayetteville, Arkansas operations. You will work closely with experienced engineers to analyze processes, implement improvements, and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic manufacturing setting.

The role emphasizes data-driven optimization, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and exposure to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Proficiency with MS Office and data analysis tools.
• Prior internship or coursework in manufacturing or engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support Production Processes: analyze and improve manufacturing processes to boost efficiency and reduce waste.
• Data Analysis: collect and analyze production metrics to identify trends and opportunities.
• Quality Assurance: work with QA to root-cause defects and implement corrective actions.
• Continuous Improvement: participate in Lean/Six Sigma/Kaizen initiatives to optimize processes.
• Equipment Maintenance: assist with preventive maintenance and reliability efforts.
• Documentation: maintain process docs and prepare reports for stakeholders.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: work with production, engineering, quality, and supply chain.
