Job summary

AAF International invites applications for a Manufacturing Engineering Intern to support our manufacturing operations. You will gain hands-on experience while collaborating with experienced engineers on projects to optimize production efficiency, quality, and innovation.

You will work with cross-functional teams to analyze processes, collect data, and implement improvements that reduce waste and downtime while documenting findings for stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and methodologies is a plus.
• Prior internship or coursework in manufacturing or engineering is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support Production Processes: analyze manufacturing processes, identify improvements, implement solutions to boost efficiency and reduce waste.
• Data Analysis: collect and analyze production metrics like throughput, cycle time, and yield to spot trends.
• Quality Assurance: assist with root-cause analysis of defects and corrective actions.
• Continuous Improvement: participate in Lean/Six Sigma/Kaizen initiatives to improve processes.
• Equipment Maintenance: assist with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Documentation and Reporting: maintain process docs and prepare reports for stakeholders.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: work with production, engineering, quality, and supply chain to meet project goals.
