Job summary

RHI Magnesita is seeking engineering students for the Summer 2027 Manufacturing Engineering Internship Program. This paid, on-site opportunity offers hands-on work impacting plant performance, safety, quality, and equipment reliability, with exposure to Production or Maintenance & Reliability tracks.

You will work with experienced engineers and plant leaders, gaining real-world experience in a global manufacturing setting and opportunities for future roles.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
• Junior or Senior year in Fall 2027 preferred.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office apps.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Interest in manufacturing, production processes, equipment reliability, continuous improvement, or industrial operations.

Responsibilities

• Support process improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance.
• Collect and analyze production data to identify trends and bottlenecks.
• Assist with root cause investigations related to production issues.
• Participate in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement activities.
• Support documentation updates including work instructions and SOPs.
• Assist with capital and improvement projects from planning through implementation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve plant performance.
