Job summary

1X is building humanoid robots and manufacturing processes to scale production of NEO. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will turn parts into repeatable high‑volume production, build fixtures and workflows, and feed lessons back into the next revision.

You will own process validation, document CAD and process details, and partner with design and engineering to improve manufacturability. If you’re hands-on, curious, and committed to quality, this role fits you.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in manufacturing or mechanical engineering.
• Basic CAD skills (SolidWorks, Onshape, or similar).
• Comfortable doing physical work, including setup, assembly, and post-processing.
• Currently studying engineering or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop and document repeatable manufacturing and assembly processes for prototype and pre-production parts.
• Build and improve fixtures, jigs, and workflows that reduce build time, scrap, and rework on the line.
• Own process validation and durability testing for the parts and assemblies you support, surfacing failure modes early and driving fixes.
• Produce and maintain accurate CAD and process documentation so parts and methods can be reproduced reliably across the team.
• Partner with design and engineering on the next robot revision to drive design-for-manufacturability improvements.
