Doosan Bobcat in North Dakota offers a student program designed to empower young professionals. Co-ops are full-time for 8 months; internships are part-time for 4 months, across 18 functional areas.

Qualifications

• Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior pursuing Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
• GPA 3.0 or higher preferred.
• Commit full-time for 8 months (co-op) or 4 months (internship).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
• Communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing layouts for capital projects.
• Develop time studies for line balancing and setup reduction.
• Assist in new product and ECN implementation; create programs for lasers, plasmas, brakes and turret machines.
• Calculate cycle times.
• Assist in developing and implementing Lean/DFT initiatives and automation programs.
• Assist in process documentation, workflow and work-content identification.
• Assist in continual improvement of factory safety, quality, reliability and productivity.
• Assist in solution development and implementation.
• Assist in implementing the Orange Powdered System and conveyor weight capacity project.
• Support continual improvement of paint quality and reduction of defects.
