Job summary

Owens Corning is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Co-op for Spring 2027 to work at a manufacturing plant for approximately 16 weeks. You will be mentored by seasoned technical specialists and contribute to safety leadership, process and product improvements, productivity increases and Total Productive Maintenance.

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or relevant field (preferred).
  • Previous internships/co-ops in manufacturing settings are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support Manufacturing Engineering projects and initiatives.
  • Contribute to safety leadership and TPM activities.
  • Assist in process and product improvement efforts.
  • Develop leadership, communication and data-analytics skills.

Manufacturing Engineering Spring Co-op Description:

During theSpringterm, you will be placed as a Manufacturing EngineeringSpringCo-op at an Owens Corning manufacturing plant for approximately16 weeks. You will be mentored by seasoned technical specialists and provided value added projects throughout this period. Projects will give you hands‑on experience with the technical issues thatyou'llface in the production environment, and they will cover the following topics:

  • Safety leadership
  • Process and product improvement
  • Productivity increases
  • Total Productive Maintenance

In addition, you will develop the following skills necessary to be an effective manufacturing leader:

  • Troubleshoot and problem solve designs, materials, or processes
  • Leverage analytics & data-based decision making
  • Enhance leadership capabilities and lead teams
  • Effectively communicate and elevate performance of self and others
  • Strengthen technicalexpertise
  • Understand customer-driven focus

At the conclusion of the internship, participants may be offered anadditionalinternship or full-time employment in one of Owens Corning's Operations Leadership Development Programs, following graduation.

Selection Criteria:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or relevant major and/or field
  • Previousrelevant internships/co-ops in a manufacturing setting
  • Demonstrated leadership in professional, service, or social organizations
  • Willingness and flexibility to relocate
Location of Assignment:

Participants are based at various manufacturing sites in the US.
