Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Co-op (January – June 2027) to support manufacturing process optimization and asset management initiatives. You will work closely with manufacturing and engineering teams to enhance equipment performance, quality and safety while gaining hands-on experience in production operations, equipment implementation, and continuous improvement projects.

Qualifications

Pursuing a degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
Ability to take ownership of projects and deliver results.
Adaptable to a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with CAD software; SolidWorks preferred.
Availability to work on-site at least four days per week.
Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Support creation and maintenance of standard work instructions and process docs.
Assist root cause investigations and corrective actions for process and equipment issues.
Support build, installation, qualification, and startup of new equipment.
Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, throughput, and costs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production processes.
Collect and analyze manufacturing data to identify trends.
