Smurfit Westrock, a leader in sustainable packaging, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern/Co-op (2027) to join our paper mill operations in various locations across the U.S. You will support operational reliability, safety, and process-improvement initiatives while applying engineering fundamentals to large-scale industrial systems.

As part of the program, you will work full-time (40 hours/week) from January 2027 to May 2027, gain hands-on experience, collaborate with operations,

• Actively enrolled in an accredited engineering program.
• Willingness to work in an industrial manufacturing setting.
• Commitment to full-time schedule for the co-op term.

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering fundamentals to real-world manufacturing challenges.
• Analyze operational data and present findings to leadership.
• Support safety, productivity, and environmental performance initiatives.
