Job summary

Analogic is seeking a co-op student in manufacturing engineering to support tolerancing review, data analysis, and process development on real-world projects. You will collaborate with Quality, Design Engineering, and Production to ensure changes are properly vetted and documented while learning hands-on CAD and statistics techniques.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and production environments.
• Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD is preferred.
• Familiarity with statistical analysis and data-driven problem-solving techniques.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Review and update tolerancing on released assembly drawings using CAD tools.
• Collaborate with Quality, Design Engineering, and Production to vet and document engineering changes.
• Support process improvements to enhance production efficiency and quality.
• Collect and analyze manufacturing data using Minitab, Excel, and other tools; provide data-driven recommendations.
• Create and maintain SOPs, Work Instructions, Process Flow Diagrams, and other documentation.
• Assist with maintenance, calibration, and optimization of manufacturing equipment.

Job description

• Lead efforts to review and update tolerancing on released assembly drawings using SolidWorks.
• Collaborate with Quality, Design Engineering, and Production teams to ensure engineering changes are fully vetted, documented, and compliant with customer requirements.

Process Improvement

• Support manufacturing technicians in identifying and implementing process improvements that enhance production efficiency, quality, and overall performance.

Data Analysis

• Collect, analyze, and interpret manufacturing and process data using Minitab, Microsoft Excel, and other analytical tools.
• Identify trends, investigate issues, and provide data-driven recommendations to support informed decision-making.

Documentation & Process Development

• Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including:
  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Work Instructions
  • Process Flow Diagrams
  • Process and Engineering Documentation

Equipment & Manufacturing Support

• Assist with the maintenance, calibration, and optimization of manufacturing equipment to ensure reliable operation and performance.
• Work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Operations, Production, and R&D teams to support business objectives and improve manufacturing processes.

Education

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in:
  • Manufacturing Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Industrial Engineering
  • Or a related engineering discipline

Technical Skills

• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and production environments.
• Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with statistical analysis and data-driven problem-solving techniques.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Eagerness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous co-op, internship, or project experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience working with ERP systems or manufacturing software.
• SolidWorks certification or advanced CAD experience is a plus.
