Job summary

Analogic is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op to support a range of engineering and manufacturing initiatives. You will help review tolerancing on drawings, support process improvements, and analyze data to inform decisions.

You'll collaborate with Quality, Design Engineering, Production, and R&D to ensure changes meet customer requirements, develop SOPs, and assist with equipment maintenance while upholding safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Review tolerancing on released drawings using SolidWorks.
• Collaborate with Quality, Design Engineering, and Production to vet changes.
• Identify and implement process improvements to boost efficiency and quality.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret manufacturing data using Minitab and Excel to support decisions.
• Develop SOPs, work instructions, and process flow diagrams.
• Assist with maintenance, calibration, and optimization of equipment.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Operations, Production, and R&D teams to improve processes.
• Ensure activities comply with safety policies and quality standards.

What You'll Do

As a Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op, you will support a variety of engineering and manufacturing initiatives, including:

Engineering Project Support

• Lead efforts to review and update tolerancing on released assembly drawings using SolidWorks.
• Collaborate with Quality, Design Engineering, and Production teams to ensure engineering changes are fully vetted, documented, and compliant with customer requirements.

Process Improvement

• Support manufacturing technicians in identifying and implementing process improvements that enhance production efficiency, quality, and overall performance.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and problem-solving activities.

Data Analysis

• Collect, analyze, and interpret manufacturing and process data using Minitab, Microsoft Excel, and other analytical tools.
• Identify trends, investigate issues, and provide data-driven recommendations to support informed decision-making.

Documentation & Process Development

• Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Work Instructions
• Process Flow Diagrams
• Process and Engineering Documentation

Equipment & Manufacturing Support

• Assist with the maintenance, calibration, and optimization of manufacturing equipment to ensure reliable operation and performance.
• Support ongoing production activities and engineering projects.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Operations, Production, and R&D teams to support business objectives and improve manufacturing processes.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards.

What You'll Bring

Education

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in:
• Manufacturing Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Industrial Engineering
• Or a related engineering discipline

Technical Skills

• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and production environments.
• Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with statistical analysis and data-driven problem-solving techniques.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Experience working with ERP systems or manufacturing software.
• SolidWorks certification or advanced CAD experience is a plus.
