Job Description

As a Manufacturing Engineer (Welding) at S&C Electric Company, you will support production welding projects, develop welding procedures, set up and program equipment, and drive quality and cost improvements. You will report to manufacturing leadership and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and support welding fabrication processes using industry best practices and lean principles.
• Perform welding procedure development, testing, and documentation.
• Set up and program automated welding equipment, including robotic welders.
• Update manufacturing files and programs based on engineering changes.
• Lead problem-solving initiatives to improve processes and reduce costs.
• Investigate and implement new welding technologies and CapEx projects.
• Assist in resolving production floor issues and communicate effectively across teams.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Welding, Welding Technology, or related Engineering field.
• At least 3 years of experience in welding fabrication.
• Knowledge of welding processes such as GMAW, GTAW, RSW, and Stud Welding.
• Ability to read blueprints and CAD drawings, including GD&T.
• Experience with robotic welding programming.
• Strong communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• CWI or CWEng certifications.
• Experience with lean manufacturing and operational metrics analysis.
• Knowledge of CAD software and robotic programming tools.

Physical Demands

• Standing, walking, occasional lifting, and visual acuity required.
