Welding Engineer Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welding Engineer to join our team as a remote contractor. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing processes to ensure the highest quality results in our pipe welding operations. Your expertise will be instrumental in designing and optimizing shop layouts and truck designs to maximize efficiency and productivity, while also creating training modules to ensure awareness and competence among field personnel, QHSE personnel, and management.

• Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for welding specific metals
• Design and optimize shop layouts and truck designs to maximize efficiency and productivity
• Create training modules to ensure awareness and competence among field personnel, QHSE personnel, and management
• Manage projects and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Provide expertise in welding engineering, with a strong understanding of pipe welding operations and procedures
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve operations and deliver results
• Develop and implement project-specific PM&E procedures and calculations
• Stay up-to-date with industry standards and regulatory requirements
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and training skills
• Strong knowledge of project management principles and practices
• Proficiency in welding codes and standards (ASME and API)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team
