Job summary

AKG of America, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design production tools and machines, develop processes and controls for new programs, and train operators in proper usage. The role includes setting up new equipment, ensuring satisfactory operation, and implementing cost-saving improvements.

Qualified candidates will have a B.S.M.E. or related degree and at least three years of relevant experience, with knowledge of machining, drafting, and data processing.

Qualifications

• B.S.M.E. or B.S. in Industrial Technology/Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years as a Manufacturing Engineer with tool/machine design experience.
• Experience in capital appropriation evaluation is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Design tools and/or machines for manufacture of company products.
• Redesign or replace in-process equipment and tooling as needed.
• Develop processes and controls for new programs; supervise assembly and proofing.
• Set up new equipment and train staff on proper use.
• Write operation procedures and stay informed on new manufacturing tech.
