Job summary

First Solar, Inc. is seeking a Technician- Manufacturing Engineer II on USA A Crew/AM Shift. You will assist in installing and qualifying manufacturing equipment, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to throughput, yield, and product performance.

The role requires a technical background and strong communication in English. Ideal candidates have a technical degree or relevant experience, safety mindset, and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or higher in a technical discipline; or two+ years machine/mechanic experience.
• One year First Solar technical experience or six months as Temporary Manufacturing Engineering Technician.
• Safety-minded with ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong written and spoken English communication.
• Able to troubleshoot and resolve on-line manufacturing issues.

Responsibilities

• Assist in installation and qualification of manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot day-to-day manufacturing issues to meet throughput and yield goals.
• Develop and implement yield and product performance improvements.
• Provide training and maintain process documentation.
