Job summary

Apptronik is building the next generation of humanoid robots, and we are seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to serve as the technical authority on supplier manufacturing processes, quality systems, and production readiness for electromechanical assemblies.

You will spend time on supplier floors evaluating processes, resolving production issues, and qualifying new parts from prototype through rate production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related engineering discipline is required.
• 5+ years of hands-on manufacturing engineering experience in electromechanical product environments.
• Experience with supplier quality, NPI, and PPAP/APQP is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the internal technical authority on supplier manufacturing processes, quality systems, and production readiness for electromechanical assemblies.
• Lead end-to-end NPI lifecycle at suppliers from feasibility review through PPAP/FAI and ramp to rate production.
• Own supplier qualification plans for new parts, engineering changes, and supplier transitions.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone) for supplier quality escapes; drive containment and permanent resolution.
• Analyze supplier quality and delivery metrics to identify issues and drive data-driven improvements.
• Collaborate with design and materials engineers to ensure DFM feedback is integrated early.
