Job summary

Apptronik in Texas seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to bridge product design and mass production. You will define the equipment, tooling, and process parameters required to meet quality, cost, and throughput targets, and champion DFx during early development.

You will lead DFM/DFA reviews, develop fixtures and production tooling, and transition NPIs to Tier-1 contract manufacturers. You will verify BOMs and routings in ERP/PLM systems to drive production readiness.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering.
8+ years in process development/NPI within high-volume hardware environments.
Experience with fixture design and assembly review using CAD tools.

Responsibilities

Process Development & Validation: define and qualify manufacturing processes to meet yield and throughput.
DFM/DFA & Risk Mitigation: lead reviews with R&D and use PFMEA to mitigate risks.
Tooling & Fixture Engineering: design, procure, and validate fixtures, jigs and tooling.
NPI Transition: hand off to production, troubleshoot pilots, onboard CM suppliers.
Technical Approvals: review ECOs/MCOs to ensure production readiness.
Data Integrity: verify BOMs and routings in ERP/PLM systems against processes.
