Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or higher with minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
• In lieu of degree, minimum 8 years of related experience.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification is preferred.
• Experience with aerospace manufacturing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing engineering activities for assembly, test, and integration of electromechanical and optomechanical assemblies.
• Author work instructions and manufacturing procedures and create routers.
• Lead design changes by coordinating with design engineering to address issues.
• Interface with technicians and operations personnel throughout hardware integration and test.
• Propose and lead process-improvement projects to optimize manufacturing processes.
• Estimate and track manufacturing costs to drive continuous improvement.
• Support capacity planning, space layouts, and risk reduction for upcoming programs.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for manufacturing issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability and alignment with business objectives.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to early career professionals.
• Integrate design and process integrity processes such as xFMEAs and SPC.
• Ability to obtain US Government security clearance.
