Job summary

Spectrum Control is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to provide hands‑on factory support, developing and maintaining processes for SMT and module assembly. You'll collaborate with production leadership, engineers, and technicians to train staff and implement new processes for cutting‑edge hardware in a defense electronics environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent hands‑on experience) or Electrical Engineering Technology degree.
• 3–5 years’ experience in microelectronics manufacturing with emphasis in SMT and wire bonding.
• Strong hands‑on troubleshooting and floor presence; able to train production staff.
• Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings, BOMs, and process specs.
• Strong communication skills; experience training/mentoring staff.
• U.S. Person status is required for export‑controlled work.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and maintain manufacturing processes and routers for SMT, die attach, wire bonding, and module assembly.
• Provide hands‑on floor support to troubleshoot process and equipment issues in real time.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase yield and throughput.
• Support new product introduction by developing repeatable, producible processes.
• Train and mentor production assemblers and technicians on process steps and equipment.
