Job summary

Quest Global seeks a hands-on manufacturing specialist to support a supervisor and coordinate a team of hourly workers on daily work in Fort Payne, AL. The role emphasizes training, safety, and continuous improvement while maintaining production flow.

You will mentor operators, assist with planning priorities with the technical support team, and ensure clear instructions move from engineering to the shop floor. On-site position with strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Two+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Assoc degree or eight+ years of related work.
• Experience in heavy manufacturing.
• Mentoring and motivating team members.
• Knowledge of welding, machining and NDE.
• Ability to interpret complex work instructions.
• Attention to detail and multitasking.
• Execution of production orders.
• Managing department and job costs.
• Focus on quality and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Support the supervisor in managing a team of hourly employees on work assignments.
• Support coaching and mentoring team members to grow with assigned work experience.
• Execute jobs priorities with the planning and technical support team.
• Identify issues with product flow and resolve with the assistance of the technical support team.
• Support supervisor to manage Productivity of the hourly team to ensure product movement and schedule requirements.
• Ensure manufacturing processes are clearly defined and communicated from manufacturing engineering to the shop floor via technical instructions, project briefings, etc.
• Provide technical guidance and training to operators, technicians, and manufacturing engineers on the use of fixtures, tooling, and equipment.
• Support OIL documentation
