Job summary

Precinmac, a leading diversified manufacturer of high-tolerance precision machined components, seeks a Manufacturing Engineer for our Shields Manufacturing facility in Tualatin, Oregon. This is an on-site, full-time exempt position.

Under limited supervision you will develop and improve processes, tooling and equipment, lead productivity initiatives, and mentor other engineers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high‑quality products on time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology.
• Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Lean methodologies training including 5S, SMED, VSM, Visual Management, Problem Solving (A3), Standard Work, Mistake-Proofing, TPM.
• Green or Black Belt Lean Six Sigma certification.
• Hands-on experience with machining processes, preferably multi-axis milling and turning.
• Experience using ERP and MES software, preferably Infor10 ERP (Syteline) and ShopVue.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite with strong Excel skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Under limited supervision, develops and improves manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment to maintain product functionality and drive productivity.
• Leads and mentors other engineers on projects and process improvements.
• Identify areas for process improvement and lead cross-functional teams in executing solutions.
• Design fixturing, tooling, systems, etc. to improve processes and work with vendors for equipment purchases.
• Review traveler packages and customer drawings for completeness and manufacturability; obtain customer approvals as needed.
• Create manufacturing drawings, flat patterns, and release travelers to produce a complete plan.
