Job summary
Avancez Assembly in Auburn Hills, MI, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop assembly processes aligned with customer requirements, quality systems, and labor plans. You will oversee equipment selection, tooling purchases, and production timelines while driving efficiency and manufacturability.
The role partners with QA, PC&L, and plant teams to improve throughput, reduce scrap, and implement automation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- 3+ years in assembly/manufacturing and 2+ years in APQP.
- Supervisory experience in manufacturing is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed manufacturing plans for new programs requiring new equipment or retooling existing equipment.
- Prepare RFQ to PO for major outside tooling and equipment purchases.
- Coordinate with PC&L to optimize material flow to production line.
- Collaborate with Quality to drive PFMEA/Control Plans to improve design and manufacturing.
- Maintain process documentation and ensure OEE targets are met.
