Job summary

B.E. Meyers & Co. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Redmond, WA to develop robust, cost-effective manufacturing and assembly processes and supporting documentation.

You will own processes, interface across functions, and drive corrective actions to maintain quality and efficiency. Responsibilities include equipment specification, BOM management, and collaboration with Product Design to optimize manufacturability.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Electrical, Software, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering; 3–5 years related manufacturing experience.
• Experience with PCBA functional testing; reading electrical schematics and troubleshooting components.
• GUI programming for automating acceptance testing.
• Opto-electronic design and manufacturing methods; laser diode fixtures/tests a plus.
• High-volume manufacturing experience; Design for Manufacture (DFM).
• MIL-STD-461F/810G/882D compliance experience.

Responsibilities

• Develops and/or specifies equipment to support manufacturing processes.
• Provides primary technical support to Production processes; interprets work instructions and use of equipment.
• Resolves assembly problems; leads continuous improvement projects for manufacturability.
• Maintains BOM; drafts assembly drawings and approves ECOs; develops routings and labor standards.
• Creates assembly documentation for internal and customer specifications.
• Collects and analyzes data to implement corrective actions for deficiencies.
• Contributes to Product Design process for manufacturability and cost efficiency.
• Performs industrial engineering tasks to improve workflow and reduce lead time and costs.
