Job summary

Bevco Engineering in Sussex, WI seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to own manufacturing readiness for new and existing products, lead continuous improvement on the shop floor, and serve as the technical bridge between design engineering, operations, and customers.

You will own processes, influence design for manufacturability, and be accountable for cost, quality, and delivery in electrical control panel manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering (or related).
• Experience in electrical control panel manufacturing or related industry.
• Experience owning manufacturing processes from design handoff through production.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Experience developing routings, labor standards, and work instructions.
• Familiar with ERP/MRP systems and project management tools.
• Able to work independently with clear accountability for results.
• Strong communication across engineering, operations, and customers.

Responsibilities

• Own translation of customer drawings and requirements into standardized, build-ready manufacturing processes.
• Identify CTQ features and ensure control through design, tooling, and documentation.
• Lead DFM reviews and drive improvements to reduce risk, labor, and rework.
• Develop and validate labor estimates, routings, and manufacturing assumptions for quoting and capacity planning.
• Lead manufacturing activities for NPI programs, ensuring BOM accuracy and production readiness.
• Define pilot build strategy and transition products to full production.
• Collaborate with Design Engineering to resolve gaps and manufacturability concerns early.
• Establish process controls and acceptance criteria before release to production.
• Design, document, and optimize assembly processes for electrical control panels.
• Provide hands-on engineering support during pilot builds and production.
• Troubleshoot production issues related to process, tooling, or equipment.
• Interface with customers to clarify requirements and support change implementation.
