Job summary

AVIRE US in Sussex, Wisconsin is seeking a Production Engineer to design, validate and optimize production tooling and processes across new product launches and legacy products.

You will own process governance, PFMEAs, labor standards, equipment maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives, partnering with engineering, quality, supply chain and production to deliver on time and at optimized cost.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering or related field with experience in manufacturing or process engineering.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, UL, EN 81-28 quality standards.
• Ability to design tooling architectures, define process controls and validate performance.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams in complex manufacturing environments.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven decision making.
• Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma principles and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead NPI input, providing engineering support, tooling, PFMEAs, labor standards and test strategies from prototype through production release.
• Own the design, governance and control of manufacturing processes, work instructions, fixtures and production programming.
• Define plant layout, production flow and capacity plans; coordinate manufacturing engineering resources.
• Maintain and improve production equipment and tooling to maximize OEE and shape roadmaps.
• Support product lifecycle through root cause analysis, bottleneck resolution and supplier engagement.
• Drive lean and continuous improvement on site with global CI collaboration.
• Train Production personnel on new processes, procedures and equipment.
• Authorize production stoppage when safety, quality, or regulatory standards are not met; on-site presence required.
