Job summary

Rolls-Royce is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer specialized in Metallurgy to support and improve single crystal casting processes at our Indianapolis facility. You will own the process, analyze grain defects, and drive corrective actions to meet safety, quality, cost, and delivery targets.

The role requires a STEM degree with 2–4+ years in manufacturing or related experience, and US citizenship is required.

Qualifications

Associates degree or higher in STEM/Mechanical/Metallurgical/Materials Eng with required experience.
Bachelor's degree with 2+ years manufacturing experience; higher degrees optional.
U.S. citizenship required for consideration.
PhD/advanced degrees welcomed for senior roles.

Responsibilities

HSE: ensure manufacturing processes comply with health, safety, and environmental standards.
Quality: drive zero defects and Right First Time; ensure policies and standards compliance.
Metallurgy: support single crystal casting processes; detect grain defects and perform corrective actions.
Develop capability: improve processes, data capture, and analytics for capability.
New Part Introduction from wax tooling through casting development.
Utilize PFMEAs, control plans, MSA with HPC/Production concepts for yield improvement.
Develop processes that support SPC and dimensional techniques.
Monitor machinery performance to verify efficiency.
Initiate corrective actions to ensure product quality.
Provide design guidance to optimize equipment use and manufacturing methods.
