Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline or physics.
• 1+ years of machine shop, manufacturing, quality, and/or inspection experience (student project team or internship qualifies).

Responsibilities

• Determine inspection method to maximize utilization and minimize downtime.
• Increase inspection throughput by adopting automation and standardizing processes.
• Maintain tight feedback loops with design and production teams to reduce cycle times.
• Update drawings for manufacturability and inspectability improvements.
• Drive DFA initiatives related to inspection and reduce CMM inspection times.
• Review out-of-tolerance conditions and approve dispositions for efficient production.
• Collaborate with other machine shops and quality facilities to address capacity and scheduling.
• Contain non-conforming products and lead corrective actions after root-cause investigations.
